The people who clean the rooms and amenities don't get paid enough... with that, I know it's hard to detail a room but... dust, wipe the whole shower (you need shower shoes always), if your room doesn't have AC then it will have a fan. Numbers on my microwave didn't work but preset does.
Lodged at Utah Hall throughout my stay, loved that the laundry facility was free to use for guests, but it's a bit unfortunate that the galley was a bit of a walk as well as the NEXs. A bit of miscommunications with room services sometimes, but overall the QoF exceeded my expectations and I have future plans on returning!
The $150 room rate with free parking is the best part of the room. This is a much lower rate than the average of $400 a night on the island, which doesn't even include the $50 a day parking rate. The rooms and zig zag road out of the motel aren't great. But factoring in the competition, the lodging isn't that bad.
Took 3 stops to get fully checked in, but the standard queen room was relatively recently updated, although the outside of the building was in disrepair.
We stayed here for a month because we were moving off island. The cleaning staff were awesome and really nice! The front desk staff were always super helpful. We stayed in the second building closest to the round about. I had a room with a kitchenette. It had a 2 top stove, fridge, sink, dishes, and utensils. The only thing it didn't have was a sponge or dish scrubber. They offer small towels, but it was easier to just get a sponge and throw it away when we checked out. They do allow pets with a pet fee of $125. I'm really happy I decided to stay here over anywhere else.
The room is pretty good,The bathroom is small but it works. Great location 25mins drive to Waikiki. Compare with the hotel in Waikiki $350+ gateway is $150 and free parking. Workers are very sweet Definitely will stay there again
Rooms are old and outdated. There's no control over the thermostat. Bathrooms are dorm quality. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
We were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. This is an old building 1934. Flush the toilet frequently when wiping...lol. It will clog . Cheaper than an outside hotel plus security. Keep in mind that this is a working base with colors and ships.
